Pack a Punch Cacao Balls

Next time you’re craving a chocolate bar try this healthy but YUMMY snack instead. You’ll get your sweet fix without the sugar crash. Loaded with protein and fibre, this snack will give you steady energy to keep you going ’til your next meal.

Pack a Punch Cacao Balls
1 c sesame seeds (ground in a coffee grinder)
3 tbsp shredded coconut
1/4 c hemp seeds
1/4 c raw cacao powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
1/4 c coconut oil
4 tbsp unpasteurized honey

Melt the oil and honey together gently (just until runny enough to distribute evenly through mixture – otherwise you’ll get random clumps of honey). Mix wet and dry ingredients. Roll into balls. If the mixture is too wet just pop in the fridge for a few minutes to firm up. Store balls in freezer. Eat frozen or thaw. (I like them frozen!)

You can always add flax or chia seeds for even more goodness!
